How to make super performing homemade fabric softener

The truth is that we can make it much more perfumed and concentrated, more precisely it depends on whether we get the soap of flowers or fruits.

Let’s see the recipe:

It is a simple recipe where the type of soap we choose is key, especially its aroma and that it is of good quality.

Below are all the ingredients that we are going to use and the preparation in detail:

Ingredients

  • 1 Scented soap or 2 of 100 gr. each (of choice)
  • 1 liter of boiling water
  • 200 ml. of alcohol vinegar
  • 1 liter of cold water from the refrigerator
  • 20 tbsp. Hair cream (or inexpensive conditioner)
  • 2 liters of water with 3 tbsp. baking soda (previously whipped)
  • 7 liters of water at room temperature
  • 4 liters of cold water
  • 2 liters of Fabric Softener purchased (economical)
  • 50 ml. of ammonia (bought at the pharmacy)

Preparing for homemade fabric softener

  1. First, we proceed to grate the fruit or flower soaps, we also add 1 liter of boiling water. With the help of a spoon, do not stop stirring until the soap is completely melted.
  2. Once it melts completely, add 1 liter of ice water.
  3. We continue stirring and let it cool, we will observe when it cools down that it becomes a mouse.
  4. Now, it’s time to divide into 4 equal parts and blend it well in the blender or mixer.
  5. The way to do it is like this: we add 1 part soap and 5 tablespoons of hair cream and blend for 1 minute, then pour it into a container.
  6. Next step, repeat with the second part of the melted soap and another 5 tablespoons of cream, also blend for 1 minute and add it to the container or basin.
  7. Continue with the third part of melted soap and add the 5 tablespoons of hair cream, as well as repeat with the fourth part of the melted soap and another 5 tablespoons of cream. In this way we get to 20 tablespoons of hair cream, and all the parts go into the basin.
  8. Next, add 2 liters of water at room temperature with 3 tablespoons of baking soda, which we are going to blend first and finally, join the rest of the mixture in the basin.
  9. Stir everything very well is essential, 7 liters of water at room temperature are added but without stopping stirring constantly.
  10. At this point we already have a beautiful, consistent and fragrant mixture, so it is time to add the 200 ml. of white vinegar.
  11. Everything continues to be mixed and we add the 2 liters of fabric softener purchased, the cheapest. We are going to continue stirring it for a few more minutes and place the bottle of ammonia, about 50 ml. and mix very well and carefully. It will act as a preservative for the home-made product.
  12. To finish, we add another 3 liters of water and this will reach 16 liters.
  13. We continue mixing vigorously and incorporating all the water and let it rest overnight, at this point it will foam a lot from the baking soda with the alcohol vinegar. Anyway, the foam will go down when it rests overnight.
  14. By the next day, the mixture will be calm, foam-free and with a wonderful, fragrant consistency.
